At Electronic Design and
Development Corp, we live to design. Our designers are out of the box thinkers.
We will deliver designs that are as simple as you want to something in the middle
or the most advanced state of the art. We are very conscious about practical
design and the best design per cost that is achievable. We want to design what
is right for you. Here are some of the products, gizmos, and devices we
designed.
THE VDA
UNIT - The VDA Unit is a wireless communications system that will make everyday
phone calls have live, hands free, two-way color video with sound. It is truly a state of the art wireless
handheld communication system. We believe that it is the only economically
deployable system of its type in the world. This system has over 100 different
sub systems, forms, and an end to end wireless video conferencing system. This
unit operates just like a standard phone except it has live video. What is even
better is that you already know how to use it. This system currently has no
competition and is believed to be the first of its kind in the world. Now we
are not saying someone may have something close to our unit, but we have not
yet seen it. We challenge anyone to put their system on the table in front us
that does what the VDA can do. This system is currently available for License.
THE ETS SYSTEM – The ETS System is
another ED2 first. It is a VHF high site system combined with state of the art
software to locate radio signals by Triangulation and then show the transmitter
location on a map of the area. This
system was instrumental in assisting the authorities in a false MAYDAY call. (Download the Video) We made the paper

BIG DOG - What a monster. I still
have a headache just thinking about this board. It’s the most advanced board I
have ever designed. A State of the art 16 layer LED driver board utilizing 4
Xilinx XCS1500’s, 5 buck power supplies, and 1 inverter supply. All
microprocessor controlled with a Microblaze Softcore processor. It is capable
of 350 ma. of drive utilizing 768 pulse width modulators at a staggering 16 bit
dimming level per color (red, green, and blue). This baby can drive 768 LED’s
at once and can be stacked to make a monster video board.

This is a 24 panel LED sign controller.
It features an 8 gig flash drive and a Microblaze 32 bit Softcore processor.
Ed2 designed all of the software that operates the board as well as the
interface to a PC to load the sign.
